Oh, when darkness falls down.
We look to everything,
except His name.
How many times have we struggled?
How many times have we tried
crying out alone?
O, lift up His name.
For He’s the light.
Lift Him up, our precious King,
for He’s everything.
O, lift His name and look!
He shed precious blood.
It is through Him alone
our name can be found in the book.
When all we see is darkness,
lift up your head and LOOK!
When all we see is pain,
lift up your voice and SING!
“Holy, holy, holy is our King!”
Despite darkness, it will not reign!
Lift up His name and look!
Our King has defeated sin!”
