You are still around?!

I am stunned if I’m quite honest.

I have shared many times how I’ve tried to figure out my second blog, Peeking Beneath. It originally started for personal posts only especially for family and friends. But then I wanted to try to grow Peeking Beneath a little more, so I invested more posts into my creativity which was writing prompts especially, and some writing topics.

Then the summer of 2017 I tried to figure out a schedule. I tried quotes, poetry lines, a variety of different series from the end of summer to fall. Then 2018 was a fall out of realizing this blog is not really made for a schedule.

And I had to be okay with that.

I had to be okay that some posts I really liked writing, especially my memory lane posts, maybe not everyone would be.

The battle for numbers was real. I wrote about this on my other blog.

I did discover I like helping bloggers and bloggers do tend to like those posts, I’m okay with that 🙂 and it saves me time when I get emails about basic blogging help. I have all of these posts I can point people to.

I also like talking about writing xD that’s probably clear for those who have stuck around for a while. I want to try to be more honest about my work in process, my book (and yes, it may sound weird to call it a “book” if it is not currently finished or published, but it’s accepted in the writing community…for some xD I guess.)

I would like to branch back to some things I started in the past like possible writing prompts. Those were challenging and I think I did writing prompts on this blog, in the beginning for like the first 4-5 months of 2017. I would like to cover more recipes as people seem to enjoy them. I have pictures saved of a few so hopefully, I can get on that 🙂

I’d like to share maybe some of my crafty stuff even if it is not good…compared to others. You know what I mean, the projects you are okay with, but you know you’re not the “best” at, and that’s okay.

Trust me, it’s not meant to be a downer, it’s just a reality check haha. 🙂

Thank you all so much for joining me, especially those of you who have supported both of my blogs. That’s extremely kind of you, and I hope this blog has been a blessing to you in some form.

(NIV) 1 Corinthians 4:12, “We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it.”

  1. Wooohooo, that’s fab, congrats! And I’ll happily read whatever you post as you always share with passion, so I’ll look forward to some crafty stuff & recipes in future if that’s what you’d like to try doing posts of too.
    To answer the questions :
Blogging has taught me a lot, so I’ll pick one thing… It’s taught me that there’s a whole world of people out there, that we’re not alone, and that we can connect through our writing to raise awareness, let others know they’re not alone, provide a little help and support, and make friendships along the way.
A series I’ve wanted to start… probably on acceptance, ie. of chronic illness. It’s a tough subject and a complex one, but I do now have a draft for a first post. What about you?
    Have a lovely weekend 🙂
    Caz xx

    1. Aw, thanks so much for the support 🙂

Blogging definitely taught me a lot about community too. God has used the community in so many different ways for me, I’m really grateful. I’m made some deep friendships because of this community.

Considering what your blog is about I think that would be a powerful series indeed!

Blogging also has taught me a ton of stuff. As you are familiar, I share a lot of what I’ve learned between the Christian blogging posts and blogging posts. But hmm, blogging has taught me to trust the things God puts on my heart to share, but to be aware others may not always understand, and it’s important I repsond with gentleness regardless of how others react to a post. 🙂
