Motivational Monday | Not Knowledge But Action

I just finished writing a post on how high school didn’t make me who I am, it comes out this Thursday. It seems fitting that today’s quote deals with education.

There is only one problem when it comes to being a pure dreamer and thinker. Nothing is put into action. Goals are not completed.

Teaching a child is only part of the equation. The answer lies in whether or not that same child can apply the knowledge to the real world.

The great aim of education is not knowledge but action. ~ Herbert Spencer

😉 keep at it, everyone!

  1. Needed this today! I’m in the trenches of finals and today is my last official day of my freshman year of college! I want it to be over and yet I feel as if I’m lacking motivation. “Don’t stop peeking beneath the surface.” Love that. Something I’ll definitely take to heart. ❤

Anywho, thank you so much for sharing, T.R. Noble!

    1. You are welcome!!! I’ve been thinking of you and your prayer request not to get burnt out. I know what it’s like, and especially as a freshmen it’s a whole new experience. Give yourself a small break and/or a small treat. I liked having a small party with my dorm mate with the two of us the weekend before finals week (like that Friday or Saturday before we start cracking down on the books). And then during finals I liked to do something small that was enjoyable. We had a frozen yogurt place on campus, so we would go there to relax.
