I am really touched by everyone who has followed this blog. It took me several months, okay basically a year if I’m honest, to figure out exactly what I was doing with this blog, and I’m getting closer to where I want to be.
If you don’t know, this is my second blog, the first being Inside Cup. I originally started Peeking Beneath to be a little more personal and to allow myself to write on topics that I didn’t have room for on Inside Cup. But then, I got caught up in trying to make two schedules for two blogs and lost focus on this one.
I want to help others find footing in the blogging world when they first get started, which is why I started my Blogging 101 series. I want to discuss writing topics and issues that I’ve experienced as a writer, blogger, and novelist.
But I also want to share other topics from time to time about my own life, memories, and things that interest me. It took me a long time to be comfortable with that. This blog isn’t meant to be set in stone. It’s meant to be flexible.
For a long time, I never thought I would reach 100 followers with this blog, let alone 200. I’m very thankful for everyone who has shared this journey with me. I’m grateful that my advice and suggestions on blogging and tools have helped other bloggers.
As a blogger, you may worry about where you are going. You may be concerned that you’re never going to grow. Do not limit yourself to being stuck on numbers for progress.
When I started, I didn’t even add pictures to my posts until probably almost six months in. And it was only two months ago I started learning how to really use Canva, which I do plan to cover on here eventually. I’ve found more free resources to use as well.
Growth happens in all forms, not just one.
Don’t be afraid to grow and try new things. We are only limited in what we choose to limit ourselves in.
