Recently, I was having a chat with one my friends. She had mentioned a concerned of hers, one I related to, and I gave her advice.
She made the comment, and compliment, “You’re right like you usually are.”
Which made me respond with, “Well, it’s only because I have experience with many of the topics we talk about and most of those come from my failures.”
I learned what not to do, so someone close to me doesn’t have to do or believe the same.
It’s true. A lot of times advice and wisdom are formed from past experiences, and often times failures, not successes.
What seems like issues we do not want to venture back to and reflect on could easily be a gold mine of help for someone else. We know what didn’t work and what did.
It’s important to keep this perspective because you don’t know how you could help someone else until you try.
As a writer, and blogger especially, use this perspective for the gain of others. Don’t be afraid to share what you know and what you’ve learned.
You may be surprised at the number of people you can help out. 🙂
Have a great weekend, everyone!!!
