Today’s post will cover where to find comments. No, not the notification area. But all comments. Approved, Pending, and Spam Comments.
To find the Comments scroll through your menu until you see Comments, under the Manage section.
Once you select Comments, you will see these top sections.
Each comment will also come with a set of options you can choose from.
Pending Comments – These comments are the yellow highlighted ones you see in the notification. They may not be spam comments, but most of the time from commenters who haven’t commented at all.
Either determine if they are approved, and they will show up in the comments of your blog post, or have them in the spam/trash area.
Approved Comments– These comments are the comments you have either manually approved, or the commenter has commented enough to where his or her comments get approved automatically.
Should there be an approved comment you don’t agree with, go into the approved comment section and either check spam or trash.
Spam Comments- These comments are the ones WordPress has declared as spam or you yourself have declared as spam. Sometimes commenters who are not spamming will have their comments go to Spam. Make sure to check periodically that spam comments are just that and not a hidden comment from a kind commenter.
Ironically, I once had a spam comment that complimented my review of Things Readers Do That May Indicate They Aren’t Reading Your Posts. It wasn’t a review, and most of the comment didn’t even make sense. Irony at its best.
