I was nominated by the lovely Maggie of Dreaming of Guatemala for the Fall Tag.
Maggie is really inspirational and creative. If you haven’t check out her blog before, I highly recommend you give it a try. 🙂
Maggie created this tag herself (check out the Fall Tag to read her post). “This tag was created to spread joy during this crisp season of autumn.”
The goal is to draw people together to celebrate the joys fall brings us, and to remember what has it brought us in the past.
As the winds draw closer to our window,
and the leaves begin to fall,
it’s a reminder we draw closer,
together is better after all.
-T. R. Noble
1. What’s your favorite fall outfit?
Admittedly, I will wear it wherever and whenever I can, but my red and black plaid flannel shirt.
2. What is fall weather like where you live?
Well, for the past three years I’ve lived in different states. I’m back to my home state, good ole Ohio. Here, you MIGHT see cooler weather start late September, but it’s been pretty warm. So, it gets cooler in October. The leaves don’t last long either. It’s like one day they are beautiful, and the next they’re withered, and the branches bare. But the scent of crisped crunchy leaves makes it autumn.
3. Your favorite drink to have in the fall?
I would have to say hot chocolate, especially after coming in from a fire outside in the cool night air.
4. Does your family have any fall traditions? If so, what are they?
Hmm, up until the age ten, we had an apple tree in our backyard. So fresh picked apples from our tree used to be tradition. My dad gets pumpkins for the sole purpose of pumpkin seeds. Oh, and speaking of that, when my brother and I were kids, Dad would hide toys in pumpkins for us. (Maybe, a memory lane post idea?)
5. What are some activities and events you enjoy going to in the fall months?
My home county had its fair during the fall, like a lot of other counties. So, it’s basically fair season for fall. As a kid, going to the fair was always exciting (and that’s also where my love of hot chocolate comes from.) Getting older, it’s more so nostalgic than anything else, and I love it. This year I was able to visit the Swiss festival, and see who won the best tasting cheese. ❤ Yes, there WERE samples, yummy!
6. What’s your favorite fall scented candle?
Mulled Cider! I LOVE THIS SCENT! If you like apple scents close to cider, this is it! Very warm, applely scent with a hint of spice.
7. Tell us about one of your favorite fall memories?
As a kid, I always enjoyed on the bus ride home seeing the various home decor and the decorative trash bags filled with leaves.
8. What are some fall movies you enjoy watching?
“It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” (I got candy…what did you get?…I got a rock) As my dad enjoys Charlie Brown, I grew up on watching the special every year.
9. What’s your favorite fall treat?
Fall related, I think it would be a popcorn ball. I rarely eat them because I don’t usually get them, but they make me happy, and I think of fall. That, and the occasional candy corn.
10. If you celebrate Halloween, what is the best outfit you’ve worn?
I do not celebrate Halloween. But I do celebrate fall harvest with my home church. We have hay rides, a cook out, and be thankful for everything God has given us.
My nominees are
Southern Lights Atlanta Nights

🙂 yes, you can definitely tweak your answers for the questions and be creative if they do not fit what your “fall” is like.

Lol how do I do that, I’m still new to this blogging world😊

Let’s see. If you don’t have a fall, you could talk about what you would like to experience in fall. Things you haven’t experienced before, but things you’d like to. If it doesn’t get cold in your area like fall, if you have a more cold/wet season you could talk about that. Share info about where you live. Answer the questions as best as you can. Talk about things you do in the months of October – November that may differ from those of us who have fall when the questions don’t fit. I hope that helps a little. 🙂

Oh ok cool, I got it! But how do I fill out the questions itself?

Okay, so for a tag or blog award you could copy the questions from my post, and then paste them into a new post for yourself, and then proceed to answer. You could have a post entry, and with a second tab on your computer showing my post, manually type out the questions from my post to your post. For me, I copied Maggie’s questions (which included her answers) pasted it into a new edit post I had up , deleted Maggie’s answers, and then typed my answers beside the questions. I hope that helps, if this wasn’t what you were talking about, let me know. 🙂

Oh, I love this!! And I’d love to join the fun… sad to say, however, that both my son and I are suffering from Autumn viruses right now… So, the prospect of writing an additional post is rather daunting. 😢 But if it’s not too late when we all recouperate, I’m happy to join in 😉 Huge hugs! ❤️

This was so much fun to read! I don’t have any Fall traditions at all given that I don’t experience Fall on the island, but I thank you for the tag and I’ll try my best to do this soon. 🙂

Awesome post, girlie!! Thank you so much for participating 🙂 ❤ I love all of the pictures you added! I would be way more obsessed with hot chocolate than I am now if chocolate didn't affect my skin the way it does, haha. Fall festivals are always so much fun! I got to experience Ohio in the fall a few years ago, but we went in late-October, and by that time, most of the leaves were gone and it was drizzly-rainy on our trip, as well. lol It would be better to go back earlier in the season! I hope that you have a fantastic day!

That’s right, I forgot about the chocolate! Yeah, sunshine days are really nice in Ohio! Visiting Amish country as well. I wish you an amazing day as well.

I’m sure they are! ❤ I haven't gotten to visit Amish country yet, but I'm sure it's gorgeous. 🙂 Thanks ❤

That’s wonderful. Towns in my area will do the same thing; they like being festive at the earliest time in the season as possible!
