My situation is this right now.
We have our furniture, and most of our items in storage. Finally got a place, and have been able to move in. Only have few supplies I managed to save when we moved.
We have gone two different times to the store, and upon returning home, something is needed. Something we don’t have. Darn you Pinterest for inspiring with recipes I can’t currently make.
My husband is in the process of adjusting out of the military life, so at a later time, we will have movers move in our boxes from our last home. Which means right now, we basically have clothes, some pots and pans, and some other things we wanted to have with us.
So let me share with you a basic checklist, to keep in mind, when moving to a new place. This list is geared towards the first day when you arrive.
Butter, Milk, Sandwich supplies- Cheese Slices, Lunch Meat, Bread, Peanut Butter, Jelly
Shredded Cheese, Eggs
Salt, Pepper, Imitation Vanilla, Flour, Sugar, Brown Sugar
Dish Soap, Dish Towel, Sponges, Plastic Bags, Paper Towels, Parchment Paper
Cooking Spray, Measuring Spoons/Cups, Mixing Bowl(s), Skillet, Pot, Pan, Cookie Sheet, Pizza Pan
Ice Cup Tray, Utensils (silverware, wooden/plastic spoons, spatula, ladle, whisk)
Plastic containers, Plates, Cups, Bag Clips
Soap/Body Wash, Shampoo/Conditioner, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Toilet Paper, Bath Towel, Wash Cloth, Hand Towel, Deodorant, Shower Curtain, Shower Rods
Writing Utensils, Paper to write on, Over the counter medicine, bandaids or first aid kit
Tip: Make sure you have all the chargers/cords you will need. Sometimes using a twisty tie helps cords stay together, and not tangled.
May the journey to your new home be less stressful. Hang in there!
